Sona Mastan Mirza was an actress in the 1970s and 1980s. Her association with the mobster Haji Mastan had drawn a lot of attention, apart from that she wasn't particularly well-known. Their relationship is also portrayed in the 2010 film Once Upon a Time in Mumbai, which is based on the life of Haji Mastan. Haji Mastan reportedly intended to marry Madhubala and had a great deal of admiration for her. But at the moment, it was not possible. So, instead, Haji Mastan married Sona Mastan Mirza, a woman who looked a lot like Madhubala.

Mamta Kulkarni
