Raj Thackeray has always maintained good relations with top Bollywood filmmakers & producers. His uncle, Bal Thackeray's party - Shiv Sena, controlled Bollywood worker unions as well. Nobody could refuse Raj. The rumors of their affair grew louder when Sonali Bendre was spotted alongside Raj Thackeray while welcoming Michael Jackson to the country at Mumbai Airport. Sonali Bendre was seen in traditional attire standing next to Raj. It must be noted that Raj was a married man & it should have been his wife who did the traditional aarti for the high-profile guest.
As per rumors, it was upon his uncle's insistence that Raj had to end his affair. Raj was keen on marrying Sonali, but when his uncle, who was also his political mentor, asked him to break up, he had no choice. Sonali went on to marry Goldie Behl - a Bollywood producer from a prestigious film family.

There were strong rumors of an affair between Nishigandha Wad & a top political figure from Maharashtra. Nishigandha was a prominent name in Marathi cinema & was seen in Hindi movies as well. While the affair was discussed in hushed tones, the mainstream media never dared to mention it.

As per some rumors, a powerful Delhi based politician forced himself upon Jaya Pradha during the emergency. There were rumors of Jaya Pradha having an affair with Amar Singh as well.

The affair was widely discussed among the political & Bollywood circles.
Upon being questioned by the media, Sonu Nigam denied the rumors.

There have been rumors of Bong beauty Moon Moon Sen being close to a party boss from Maharashtra. Neither the actress & nor the politician was ever questioned about it.

A Congress party leader set the proverbial cat among the pigeons when he labeled Smriti Irani as PM Narendra Modi's illegitimate wife.
