Trolls attacked Ranbir Kapoor for wearing torn jeans to his father’s funeral. Many people tweeted that he didn’t follow the Hindu ritual because of having a western mind. For many people, it seemed that following the rituals isn’t important for him. Some people also defended him saying he was in a state of shock.

The death of Rishi Kapoor was sudden and nobody was prepared or expecting it. A few hours before the death of the legend Ranbir tweeted that ‘dad will fine soon’. This says that everybody was sure about him being alright. And after the death, everyone was in shock specially Neetu Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor. In a situation like this, we can’t judge or troll someone on the basis of what they are wearing. Clothes are not something which comes to one’s mind when one loses their father or anyone near to the heart.

Rishi Kapoor’s funeral was done in the hospital itself. He wouldn’t even be taken to their house and his daughter couldn’t attend it because of the lockdown. Everything was so limited and sudden; only fifteen people were allowed to walk Rishi Kapoor to his grave. Going through all this how can one thing about what he/she is wearing and that the outfit isn’t appropriate.

We were disgusted to see videos of private moments of Rishi Kapoor’s family being papped & uploaded online. We wonder how these paps were able to get to the place where Rishi Kapoor’s body was kept. The video showed Alia Bhatt holding a phone & allegedly recording videos of the funeral. It later came to light that Alia was in fact helping Rishi Kapoor’s daughter – Riddhima see her father via a video call. One hospital employee even went as far as taking a video of Rishi Kapoor in his final moments.

We firmly believe that people should keep their judgements to themselves as far as the deceased person’s family is concerned, especially when it comes to attire. True, ideally Ranbir should not have worn torn jeans. But we don’t know what transpired & whether Ranbir had time or was in the mindframe to change. What really matters is that Ranbir like a good son, was right next to his father, throughout his cancer treatment & during his last few hours.
