Varun Dhawan To Star In Sajid Nadiadwala's Sanki

SAJID NADIADWALA has decided to revive 'SANKI' which is a Hindi remake of Tamil Sleeper hit 'D-16' and has replaced ANURAG SINGH with RAVI UDYAWAR (Mom, Yudhra) as the director of the film.
Starring VARUN DHAWAN in the film as a cop, the film is now expected to go on floors in late 2022 or early 2023, as VARUN DHAWAN is currently wrapping up last schedule of JUG JUGG JEEYO in RUSSIA and will head to start working on NITESH TIWARI's directorial, produced by SAJID NADIADWALA, which is a romantic comedy with JANHVI KAPOOR as his actress in the film. He will also start working on his digital debut in 2022 as well which will be RAJ and DK's 'CITADEL' produced by RUSSO BROTHERS for AMAZON PRIME co-starring SAMANTHA RUTH PRABHU as well. Other than these two projects, he will also reunite with SRIRAM RAGHAVAN on 'EKKIS' which is a biopic on Second Lieutenant ARUN KHETERPAL as well as is in talks with MOHIT SURI for an action film and a slice of life film to be produced by RAJKUMAR HIRANI.
In 2022, he is likely to have three releases with DHARMA's family drama 'JUG JUGG JEEYO' in JUNE and MADDOCK FILMS Monster Comedy 'BHEDIYA' in NOVEMBER along with NITESH TIWARI's directorial likely to release this year in second half of 2022.
