Virat and Anushka Welcome Baby Girl

On January 11, 2021, cricketer Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, welcomed a baby girl to their family. Virat’s brother, Vikas Kohli shared the picture of the baby’s feet wrapped up in a blanket and captioned it with: ‘Happiness overboard… angel in the house.’ Fans had also stormed the internet with their heart-felt and cordial wishes for the couple who are now parents.

Virat Kohli also took time and announce the news on Instagram. He wrote, ‘He shared the joyous news with fans via a statement shared on social media. “We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you all for your love, prayers and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Love, Virat.’

The fans have been excitedly waiting for the news since August 2020 when Anushka shared the photo of her baby bump, captioning it with: ‘And then, we were three! Arriving Jan 2021.’

On an interview with Vogue, Anushka had mentioned that they have decorated the nursery with a neutral animal theme. She further added that they do not believe in set stereotypes that a boy has to wear and a girl has to wear pink. As the parents love animals, they have kept an animal theme in the nursery.

Anushka Sharma was last seen in Anand Rai’s ‘Zero’ and she will be start shooting from May. Virat Kolhi had also been on a parental leave and will soon be joining the team.
