What Brewing Between Karan Johar & Lakshya Lalwani?

Karan Johar is one of the most powerful figures in Bollywood. Not only is he a hugely successful filmmaker, he is also a producer with an astonishingly high success rate at the box office. He has proved time & again why he is a source to reckon with. His Bollywood, South Indian movie bets even as a distributor are largely money spinners. Karan Johar is widely considered to be the mentor of star kids & pejoratively labeled 'the godfather of nepotism'. He is especially fond of kids of superstars & often casts them in his movies. His production house is known for its bias toward employees from rich or upper-middle-class families who are well conversant in English. If you are someone from a poor family from a small town in India and are a Dharma employee then you are likely to be sidelined & even bullied by the other employees of Dharma. This culture emanates from the very top - from Karan himself. After all Karan Johar too belongs to a Bollywood family - his father was a producer.Karan Johar was on the receiving end of severe backlash post the Sushant Singh Rajput fiasco. Karan was attacked for bullying Sushant - an outsider. 

Karan Johar is known to mentor star kids & he often makes calls to help them bag projects. He is rumored to have snatched projects from talented outsiders & gift-wrapped them for his millionaire star kids. The only one for whom he broke the norm was Siddharth Malhotra. Karan Johar is known to have been biased towards Siddharth Malhotra on the sets of Student Of The Year. This angered Varun Dhawan - a star kid no end. While Alia Bhatt - the daughter of Mahesh Bhatt, got her share of attention, Varun Dhawan - the son of director David Dhawan felt shortchanged. Karan has since produced several films for Siddharth Malhotra. Most of Siddharth's movies to date have been produced by Karan Johar.

As per the Bollywood grapevine, there was more to the Sid-Kjo relationship than meets the eye. They went on several vacations abroad together before filming for Student Of The Year. As per some industry insiders, Karan never shies away from showing how he knows Siddharth Malhotra better than any of his girlfriends (when he was single) or Kiara Advani - Siddharth's wife & also a star kid protege of Karan Johar.

We were surprised when we heard rumors about Ibrahim Ali Khan being pissed with Karan favoring Lakshya over him. This makes us question - is there more to the Karan Johar-Lakshya Lawani relationship than meets the eye? Has Lakshya filled the void left by Siddharth Malhotra in Karan's life? Lasjya has never spoken about his private life. Not much is known about his dating history. He ahs been linked to several actresses, including Rashmi Desai but nothing is confirmed.
