Will Mahanati Keerthy Suresh's Career Get Back on Track?

Keerthy Suresh rose to prominence after co-starring in Agnyaathavaasi with Power Star Pawan Kalyan. She debuted as a heroine in the Malayalam film Gitanjali and is currently working on several projects in Telugu and Tamil. Keerthy Suresh has made a name for himself in the South Indian film industry by playing female lead roles since the beginning of his career.

Keerthy Suresh shot to stardom with her blockbuster film Mahanati. Mahanati (translation: The Great Actress) is a 2018 Telugu-language biographical drama film based on the life of Indian actress Savitri. Nag Ashwin wrote and directed it, and Priyanka Dutt produced it through Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema. She also received a National Award for her efforts. However, since that film, Keerthy's career has suffered greatly. It remains to be seen whether her upcoming release, Good Luck Sakhi, will put her back on track for success.

 

Following Mahanati, Keerthy directed films such as Penguin, Miss India, Annaatthe, Rang De, and Marakkar. None of these films were commercially successful. Despite receiving favorable reviews, Rang De was a financial failure.

 

As a result, Keerthy is placing all of her hopes in Good Luck Sakhi. This film, directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, was supposed to be released a long time ago.

 

But she quickly realized her error and signed big films like Sarkaru Vaari Pata with Mahesh Babu and Bhola Shankar with Chiranjeevi. But first, she must overcome another challenge in the form of Good Luck Sakhi.

 

This sports drama is set to be released on the 28th of this month, but there hasn't been much buzz about it. This film has already been postponed three times and follows Keerthy's previous flops such as Penguin, Miss India, and Annatthee. Rang De was also not a particularly successful single.

 

In light of this, it's easy to see why, aside from Mahanati, Keerthy hasn't had a hit in a female-oriented film. The big question is whether she'll want to finish her bad streak of films before the big films with MB and Chiru come out.

 

If it fails, producers may reconsider making a lady-oriented film with the Agnathavasam actress in the future.

 

In any case, the presence of major stars will ensure that these films garner a lot of attention. However, fans and audiences should not expect an actress with an iron leg and a string of flops to star in a film starring their favorite stars. At the very least, Keerthy must make a comeback at any cost.
