‘Manikarnika’ Not On The National Awards list

Check out the new list of National Awards nominees which does not feature 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi', starring Kangana Ranaut.
 

The amended version of the Indian Panorama regulations 2020 organized by the Directorate, which allows feature as well non-feature films to be promoted abroad, has decided to award certain films enveloping aesthetic excellence as well as spreading awareness. It has been done in accordance with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting as well as acknowledging the interests of Central Government and various juries.

The new list includes Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy, Vikas Bahl’s Super 30, Aditya Dhar’s Uri-The Surgical Strike, and Amit Sharma’s Badhaai Ho. Apart from these, several Marathi, Tamil, Bengali, Malayalam, and Paniya films will also be awarded.

Surprisingly, Kangana Ranaut starred film ‘Manikarnika’, revolving around the story of Queen of Jhansi, is not on the list of the national awards which leads people to stir suspicions and raise their eyebrows. The actress had received a plethora of praise for her commendable acting performance in the movie.

She had also mentioned that if she or her film, ‘Manikarnika’, is not awarded with National awards, the credibility of that award ceremony will put to question. However, if there is a better work of art surpassing her work, then she will objectively view it and appreciate it as well.
