    • Add the green gram to a pressure cooker with salt and 2 cups of water.
    • Cook for 4-5 whistles, then turn off the heat and let the pressure release.
    • Cook off any excess water once the pressure is released.
  3. Making the Coconut Mixture:

    • In a blender, combine garlic, coconut, cumin, green chilies, and turmeric to create a coarse mixture.
    • Add this mixture and curry leaves to the cooked gram and mix well.
  4. Roasting the Papad:

    • Roast the papad on low heat until crispy.
  5. Serving:

    • Transfer the rice to a serving bowl and add ghee if desired. Adjust salt to taste.
