Success Story Of KEI Industries Owner Anil Gupta Is Truly Inspiring

 

As a 15-year old boy, Anil Gupta was truly inspired by his father and would spend more time in the factory during summer vacations instead of enjoying with his friends.

He used to deliver goods to customers and drove his father for meetings, gradually provoking his interest in learning about machinery and processes at an early age.

Anil Gupta did M.Com from Zakir Hussain College, Delhi. Right after finishing his masters, he joined his father’s Delhi-based Krishna Electricals Industries (KEI) having a turnover of just 70 lakh, employing 120 people. He already knew a little about business.

He purchased land at Badli and set up a bigger factory. In the new factory, they started making wires and cables for railways and the postal department.

In 1986, KEI started making copper alloy rods and cables along with supplies to thermal power plants and refineries because of their demand.

Gradually, they started supplying cables at GAIL, Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, and other oil refineries. In 1993, the company went viral but sadly, Anil lost his father.

KEI continued to expand its business facilities, Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, where they started making stainless steel wire and copper cables.
