She began her career as a dentist after receiving her BDS degree from the Baba Jaswant Singh Dental Hospital and Research Institute in Ludhiana. Her Husband

Tushar Singla, a recent IIT Delhi graduate and 2015 IAS rank holder from Barnala, Punjab, chose Public Administration as his civil services exam option. His path to success was difficult, but the payoff was sweet. He married Simi in Uluberia in 2020, with plans to celebrate their marriage after the West Bengal elections in 2021. His commitment to self-improvement simplified his exam strategy and increased his confidence.
