Godavari Movie: Why Should You Watch This Sekhar Kammula's Classic!

There are only a few movies which come as an autumn breeze and hold a place in your heart and never fade away. Godavari is one such movie which is far away from typical drama, mass or masala telugu movies. For those who love nature it's a perfect watch for this weekend as this movie illustrates the scenic beauty of Godavari River.

This movie is a mixture of love and melody. It is directed and written by Sekhar Kammula. Every Tollywood cine lover knows that his direction and screenplay seems to be a part of our next door.

The story is about Sriram (sumanth) who desires to be a politician with a tendency to help people. Whereas Seeta (Kamalinee Mukherjee) is a girl who does not want to be a homie and wants to live independently as an entrepreneur. Sriram has a special interest in his sister-in-law Raji and wants to marry her. But Raji's parents think that their daughter needs someone better and decides to marry her to an IPS officer and the venue is set at Bhadrachalam. But she always feels that he is not suitable and not at all her kind of person. Seeta wishes to go to Godavari and travels by boat. Seeta meets Sriram and his relatives on their boat journey from Rajahmundry to Bhadrachalam.

The rest of the story is all about how Sriram and Seeta move forward and how they fall for each other.

There are many amusing scenes like a graphical chatter dog which entertains in every scene with a slum boy. The movie is quite unique compared to other movies. Not but the least treasure hunt game in between a forest goes interesting among the people in the boat.

Even the boat has a character throughout the film. Whole thing that makes this story very realistic is the wonderful characterization, dialogues and screenplay. It's a normal love story but one falls in love with the Scenic cinematography, the characters with great lyrics and melodious music which makes Godavari a Classic hit of all time.
