Kiran Kumar was born in a middle class family in Nellore district ( andhra pradesh ). He started off his career in Chennai, at the age of 15 by selling off his mother's 4 gold bangles. In the year 1983, he launched his first ever gold store in Chennai and in the succeeding year he slowly expanded his business in South India in a few cities with showrooms in Hyderabad, Tirupati and Chennai. People have been trusting the jewellers due to the quality of the product with stellar prices. In the present day there are 15 branches of Lalitha Jewellers all across India. Kiran Kumar had 20 years of experience in Bullion Parish before the start of this business. He didn't study much. But Nellore was well known for gold at that time. He learnt how to make gold and about the business from a few experienced people in Nellore. The first time he took 60 grams worth bangles from his mother to melt and sell. He sold that with the name Lalitha Jewellers. From then he started as a supplier from Canada, Singapore, Dubai to India. He used to supply to a few cities in India like Kerala, Chennai and Hyderabad.
