Thalapathy Vijay Starrer Leo Collect An Incredible Amount Of 413 Crores Prior To Release

 
Leo proved to be a giant before its release and has by now collected over 400 crores.

 

After the great success of Varisu, Thalapathy Vijay is back with Leo. Leo is the most anticipated movie, which is also a reunion with Lokesh Kanagaraj. The movie has already been a hot topic in the market because of the collaboration between Vijay and Lokesh. The promotion is on another level because it’s a part of Lokesh’s universe. And because of these factors, the movie has incredible pre-release business.

 

Those who don’t know, In the universe of Lokesh Kanagaraj, Vikram was an official who shared a connection with Karthi’s Kaithi. As Lokesh is expanding his universe, Leo, starring Vijay, is also part of it. Before, both of them worked together on Master, which became a commercial success despite being released during COVID times. For their upcoming movie, the expectations are very high.

 

Moving on to the pre-release business of Leo, as per the reports, the film earned a huge amount of Rs 413 crore prior to its release. Sources revealed that Netflix bought the digital rights to the film for Rs 120 crore. Sun TV sold the satellite rights for an amount of Rs 70 crore, while the music rights were sold to Sony Music for Rs 18 crore. There is an ongoing fight between Set Max and Goldmines for the satellite rights for Hindi dubbing.  The amount range will be around Rs 30 crore on satellite for Hindi dubbed.

 

Besides these, Leo has collected a huge amount of Rs 175 crore from the theatrical rights. The demand for overseas rights is about Rs 50 crore, while the demand for Tamil Nadu rights is about Rs 75 crore. And the selling price for Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Kerala is around Rs 35 crore. For the rest of India, the amount is fixed at Rs 15 crore.
