Three Upcoming Telugu Films On The Route For An OTT Release?

The second wave of Coronavirus is much more effective than everyone predicted. A few months back theater's were open with certain restrictions and movies like Pawan Kalyan's Vakeel Saab and Dhanush Starrer Karnan were received well by the audience and performed brilliantly at the Box-office. But now, keeping this situation in mind, alot of film makers are focusing on OTT releases. It's not that one film industry is awestruck. Everyone is on the same page.

Even Tollywood is now coping much to entertain audiences by releasing movies on OTT Platforms. Directors and producers are looking for many chances to feel stress busted. Awaiting is no more a norm! OTT trend is a way out here for few movies which are mostly expected to release according to the filmy updates. Venkatesh's Drishyam 2 remake, Nithiin's Maestro and Vishwak Sen's Paagal are to be subsidized by Tollywood producers. 

Drishyam 2

Drishyam 2 Telugu version is the much awaited thriller movie remade from the Mohanlal starrer. The film is said to have got a huge offer to release on an OTT platform. Amazon Prime Video is most likely offering huge bucks to release on their platform. Drishyam is already a thriller movie which created a giant positive mark in the industry. Along with Venkatesh, Meena is casting a lead role as his wife. Esther and kruthika jayakumar are acting as their daughters.

The whole story line explains how Venkatesh rescues their family from a mysterious murder case. Venkatesh and producer Suresh Babu have not yet decided about the direct-OTT release. But according to the source, Drishyam 2 will mostly go for digital release instead of theatrical experience.

Pagal

Paagal  is an upcoming Telugu romantic film directed by Naresh Reddy Kuppili. The lead role is played by Maas ka daas (Vishwak Sen) and the leading ladies are played by Nivetha pethuraj and simran choudhary.

As the film releases across the country have been postponed indefinitely. The whole pagal team is planning to release the movie on OTT platform. Several filmmakers are getting some exciting offers from OTT. According to the latest buzz in the film industry it is already noticed that the film has been postponed and the new release date and platform will be declared very soon.

Maestro

Nithiin’s Maestro is most likely going the OTT way. Maestro is the 30th breakthrough film in Nithiin's career and is being made under the direction of Merlapaka Gandhi. Tamannah and Nabha Natesh are casting lead roles parallel with Nithiin. 

First Glimpse was already released which gave a Pleasant Surprise to all the Nithiin fans. Nithiin appeared dynamic in this glimpse which was like never before. The makers are planning to release the film on June 11. Though this topic is speculative it is ready to shower very soon with Digital rights!
