  1. Ala Modalaindi (2011): Ala Modalaindi is one of the sweetest rom-com based movies that is directed by Nandini Reddy. The film storyline revolves around Nani and Nithya Menon. The story portrays the love bites between the lovely love birds who are always in a chance to propose to each other. However, whenever they try to do so they, unfortunately, realize that their love is in a relationship with someone else.

  2. Ye Maaya Chesave (2010): Ye Maaya Chesave is a popular Telugu Romance-based drama. This was directed by Gautham Menon and was released in 2010. The story revolves around the lead debutantes Sumantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya. The movie showcases the complicated and complex relationship between the leads. The lead actor is a Telugu Hindi assistant director whereas the female lead is a Malayali Saint Thomas Christian Girl. This movie was loved so much by the fans that it was remade in Hindi titled "Ek Deewana Tha ''. This Hindi remake starred "Prateik Babbar'' and "Amy Jackson."

  3. Oy! (2009): Oy! is a Telugu-based romantic drama. It was directed by debutant Anand Ranga in the year 2009. This film starred the characters of Siddharth and Baby Shamili. The tagline of this movie is 'his first love called him…' describes the title of this movie well. The story showcases the love story of a wealthy and spoiled guy and a lonely responsible girl. Moreover, it is a deep love story that will not only make you smile but also force you to cry. That's how it won the hearts of its fans.

  4. Arya 2 (2009): Arya 2 is a Telugu romantic sequel directed by Sukumar. It was the sequel of the director that was directed by him in his early career when it was in full bloom. Though it is a sequel, this movie isn't related to the earlier movie. However, its characters and storyline are the same. We can say that the storyline and the direction is the main reason for its success.

  5. Magadheera (2009): It is Telugu fiction-based love story that was released in 2009. S.S.Rajamouli had directed this film. The movie portrays the subject of reincarnation. The story revolves around the leads Ram Charan, Kajal Aggarwal, Dev Gill , and Srihari. One is a great warrior, the princess is in love with him, the other one is her cousin and an emperor.

  6. Bommarillu (2006): This movie is a Telugu rom-com starring Siddharth Narayan, Genelia D'Souza, Jayasudha, and Prakash Raj. It was directed by Bhaskar and was released in 2006. It has a unique storyline. It focuses on the bond between a father and his son. Here the father is head over heels in love with his son and concerned also. However, his concern makes their relationship bitter.

  7. Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana (2005): It's a Telugu romance-based movie starring Siddharth and Trisha Krishnan. It was again directed by a debutant Prabhu Deva however the storyline of this movie is the same as that of the Bollywood superhit movie "Maine Pyar Kiya'' that revolved around the lead Salman Khan and Bhagayshree that were named as Prem  and Suman. However, later this movie "Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana" was remade in Hindi and titled "Ramaiya Vastavaiya" starring the leads Girish Kumar and Shruti Haasan. We can say that the success factor is surely hidden in the storyline and that's the reason it won the hearts of the audience every time.

  8. Arya (2004): Telugu- based Romantic Drama starring Allu Arjun, Anu Mehta, Subbaraju, and Siva Balaji ruled the hearts of audiences in 2004. The male lead in the movie believes that love is all about giving and therefore he focuses on fulfilling all the desires of his lover. Though this movie showcased a love triangle and as always movies showcasing love triangles always rule the charts.

  9. Tholi Prema (1998): It is a rom-com whose story revolves around the leads "Pawan Kalyan" and "Keerthi Reddy". This superhit movie was directed in 1998 by Karunakaran. The story revolves around a young boy who falls head over heels in love with a girl at the first sight.

  10. Arjun Reddy (2017): A violent and sweet romantic drama that still rules the hearts of its audiences. The story is about a surgeon "Arjun Reddy" who falls in love with her college senior. Eventually both fall in love with each other, however, the temperament issues of Arjun Reddy often lead him in trouble and complicate their relationship. This movie was so popular that it was remade in Hindi as "Kabir Singh" starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani in 2019. It ruled the charts of Bollywood. So, we can say that the storyline of Arjun Reddy is powerful and has a success factor in it.
