1. Ravish Kumar
Senior executive editor at NDTV India, Ravish Kumar also hosts a number of the network's most popular shows.
In addition to the Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Award for Hindi Journalism and Creative Literature (for 2010, given in 2014), Kumar was the first recipient of the Kuldip Nayar Journalism Award (2017).
Finally, The Indian Express's 2016 list of the 100 most important Indians includes his name.

 

2. Fareed Zakaria
Fareed Zakaria is an Indian-American journalist, author, and political analyst who was born in Mumbai, India.
2011 Peabody Award winner Fareed Zakaria GPS is his current affairs programme. Not to mention, he works for New America and The Council for Foreign Relations.

 

3. Gauri Lankesh
Gauri Lankesh gave the highest award for her unwavering dedication to journalism.
The journalist-turned-activist was the editor of the Kannada monthly Lankesh Patrike and was born in Bangalore.
A journalism prize was established in her honour and a conversation about the safety of journalists in India was spurred by her passing.
