Country Calling Codes List
List of country Calling List
International subscriber dialing (ISD) codes, country calling codes, country dial-in codes, and, most frequently, telephone country codes are phone number prefixes used to connect phone users in other countries or regions via international telecommunication networks. The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has specified country codes in ITU-T standards E.123 and E.164. International direct calling is made possible by the prefixes (IDD).
The international telephone numbering strategy is made up of country codes. They are only utilized when making a call from a country or region other than the one making the call. The international call prefix, which is an exit code from the national numbering plan to the international one, is required at least once in addition to the country codes, which are called before the national telephone number. The ITU recommends that this prefix be 00 in the majority of nations, 011 in those that are part of the North American Numbering Plan, and other prefixes are used by a small minority of countries.
arranged by world zone
Geographic location serves as the primary, albeit approximate, organizing principle for world zones. Political and historical alignments are an exception.
Zone 1: North American Numbering Plan (NANP)
See also: List of North American Numbering Plan area codes
NANP members are assigned three-digit numbering plan area (NPA) codes under the common country prefix 1, shown in the format 1 (NPA).
