Tejasswi Prakash is a prominent Indian television actress and model, well known for her diversity in performances on Hindi TV shows. She was born on 10 June 1992, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, into a musical family. Her father, Prakash Wayangankar, is a singer currently living in Dubai, and she has a younger brother named Pratik Wayangankar, who is an engineer. Tejasswi completed her B.E. in Electronics and Telecommunications from Mumbai University, all the while her education was growing her love for acting.

Tejasswi started her acting career at the age of 18 and made her TV debut in 2012, with Life OK’s thriller series titled 2612, where she played the character Rashmi. She garnered attention with her role of Dhara in Sanskaar – Dharohar Apnon Ki. She gained a breakthrough in 2015 with the Colors TV show, Swaragini - Jodein Rishton Ke Sur, where she portrayed Ragini Gadodia, a role widely praised. 

Since then, she has acted in numerous series, including Pehredaar Piya Ki, Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya, Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka and Karn Sangini, where she played Urvi, and because of this, she is now a household name. She has also appeared in some web series and will now be appearing in Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka (2019).

In 2020, Tejasswi expressed her adventurous self by participating in the reality show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 10, where she impressed viewers with her spirit and audacity. Her exceptional performances resulted in various awards, including the Best Actress in a Negative Role (Swaragini) at the Indian Telly Award, and in Gold Awards for her roles in Karn Sangini and Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka. 

Tejasswi stands approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall, has an approximate weight of 55 kg, and is recognised for her unfussy appearance, ample self-assurance and her love of acting. Her hobbies include music, playing the sitar, and eating. She is a fan of street food, with paani puri and pav bhaji being particular favourites.
