After gaining a good foothold in theatre, Aleya shifted to television in 2018 and began working as Jaya in the mythological show Karn Sangini. She worked in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai in 2019 as Ila Ajmera. Her work in mythological characters, like Vajrabala, Kaumodaki, and Jambavati in Paramavatar Shri Krishna, and Satyabhama in RadhaKrishn, demonstrated how versatile she was and her charisma.

In 2020, she appeared in Shaadi Mubarak as Pihu Kothari and as Sati in Kahat Hanuman Jai Shree Ram. Her real break was in Ishq Ki Dastaan – Naagmani (2022–23), where she received major acclaim for her double roles as Paro and Rupa, particularly playing a mystical serpent (Naagin). Recently, she played a leading role in the 2024 series Do Dooni Pyaar as Ritu Jha and is currently starring in the current show Jamuniya (2025–present).
