Ahmedabad, Gujarat is where Darshan Rawal was born and brought up. Rajal Rawal is a housewife and her husband Rajendra Rawal is a secretary. From an early age, Philosophy was more interested in music than in academics, sparking a passion for music that shaped his career. Irrespective of his father’s hopes of getting an engineering career, Darshan took a step towards his dream of becoming a singer. He studied school at Sri Swaminarayan Gurukul in Ahmedabad.
Darshan's love for music started back in his school days. He would write poetry and also perform in school functions. His big break came in the tear 2014 when he participated in the StarPlus reality show *India's Raw Star*, where he was the first runner-up. During the show itself, his self-written song "Pehli Mohabbat" got significant attention, leading to his rise in popularity.
Following his success on *India's Raw Star*, Darshan was given the opportunity by music composer Himesh Reshammiya to sing his first Bollywood song, "Jab Tum Chaho," in the film Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
Darshan's career kept on increase and propel as he worked on Bollywood soundtracks and released a lot hit singles. "Tera Zikr," "Chogada," "Kamariya," "Hawa Banke," and "Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga" (title track) belong to his most well-known songs.
