Muddada Ravichandra belongs to the 1996 batch of Andhra Pradesh and is also an alumnus of this IAS service. The degree with which he passed out during the initial part of his academics is a B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is born on 19th August, 1972.
During all his service years, Ravichandra also served in Andhra Pradesh's government at significant posts. Among them, important was the Principal Secretary of the Tribal Welfare Department. Through policy changes, he proposed, such socio-economic conditions of tribals came to be better.
Mr Ravichandra, who served during the COVID-19 pandemic times, also served as the Secretary to the Government, Health, Medical, and Family Welfare Department. During these times, proper health implementations allowed the Secretary to coordinate and steer State health management and the leadership of the vaccine drive.
In June 2024, he was appointed the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu. The task of the administration of the CMO is reposed in him with full trust and confidence, and he is expected to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of working the machinery of the CMO.
One-word term for the career of Ravichandra may be devoted to public service and also to effective governance. He has also brought many changes by bringing out much improvement in the execution of policies of departments in addressing the diversified needs of the community of Andhra Pradesh. He was clear about showing experience with complex challenges being faced while handling the state response to the pandemic of COVID-19 as well as strategizing issues related to public health.
