Pooja Vastrakar is not transgender; she identifies as a woman and proudly represents her team. She began her cricket journey at a young age, initially focusing on batting before transitioning to bowling after joining the Madhya Pradesh team.

Vastrakar faced a setback when she suffered a knee injury while fielding during a senior women's domestic match in 2016. This injury required surgery for anterior cruciate ligament damage, putting her National call-up in jeopardy. However, her selection for the South Africa trip in 2018 was significant, marking a turning point in her career.

Currently, Pooja Vastrakar is 22 years old and the daughter of a retired Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) employee. She hails from a large family, being the youngest among four sisters and two brothers. Standing at approximately 170cm tall, she made her Women's One Day International (WODI) debut for India Women against South Africa Women on February 10, 2018, followed by her Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) debut on February 13, 2018.

Born on September 25, 1999, Pooja Vastrakar represents both the Madhya Pradesh and Central Zone teams in cricket. She has participated in four first-class cricket matches, 25 List A cricket matches, and 17 Women's Twenty20 matches. Vastrakar's cricketing journey began in her childhood when she played with boys in her neighborhood.
