Mark Henry is a retired American professional wrestler and Olympic-level powerlifter turned one-time WWE superstar most fondly remembered for his time in the WWE. Born on June 12, 1971, in Silsbee, Texas, Henry developed a passion for professional wrestling at an early age, having grown up looking up to the likes of Andre the Giant. Before making it to the squared circle, he was a globally respected powerlifter who broke several records and even competed in the Olympics.

Henry made his first appearance in the WWE on Monday Night RAW in March 1996, when he clashed with Jerry "The King" Lawler. He was quickly noticed due to his incredible strength and soon thereafter became known and promoted as "The World's Strongest Man," both by the contemplation of his competitive weightlifting title holdings as well as his professional wrestling persona.

Early in his wrestling career, Henry joined the Nation of Domination, a faction that helped raise his profile. Later, he reinvented himself with the comedic “Sexual Chocolate” gimmick, which, while controversial, made him a memorable mid-card character. Three years later, Night of Champions 2011 was where he found his career moment when he dominated Randy Orton to get the World Heavyweight Championship.

Henry's in-ring dominant style was centered around moves like the World's Strongest Slam and the bearhug. During his extensive career, he was a multi-time title holder and was given a WWE Hall of Fame induction in 2018.
