Who Is Pallav Singh? 

Pallav Singh is a trained theatre actor with an education obtained through the well-known National School of Drama (NSD) in New Delhi. Pallav is an advanced actor due to years of practice in many performance environments; He has primarily performed in theatres run by Local Region Theatre Companies and performing arts organizations. Pallav began working in films and television when he moved to North America.

Pallav was born in Kota, Rajasthan. His father was Upendra R. Singh, Vice President at Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Ltd.
Mother – Poonam Singh, a homemaker.

Pallav attended Modern Senior Secondary School, Kota, where he was active in theatrical and cultural activities. The foundation of his future acting ambitions was built through his involvement in drama during his youth.

Education - Pallav received his schooling at Modern Senior Secondary School in Kota from 2002 until 2011, and he studied Mechanical Engineering at Manipal Institute of Technology in Karnataka for his Bachelor's Degree. After that, Pallav figured it would be wise for him to train in acting, and since then, he has been actively training as an Actor at the National School of Drama in New Delhi, where he received his MFA in Acting between 2016-2019.

Pallav followed his interests and passion as an Actor, although he has completed a technical degree.

Career Path - Theatre Roots

Pallav was heavily involved in theatre during college while serving as the Creative Head of the Aaina Dramatic Group. During college, he performed in multiple Nukkad Nataks and wrote a Hindi Theatre Play titled “Khwahish Gali”.

Pallav held a few corporate positions, including:

1. Delegate Affairs Manager for Youth Leaders of Tomorrow Expressions & MUNSoc (From 2013 to 2014)

2. Area Operations Manager at Amazon India (Jan 2016 to June 2016).

However, he has decided to return to the Arts and pursue his passion for acting full-time.

Pallav's First Breakthrough with Web Series and OTT Platforms:

Pallav first came to know & work with an OTT platform in the form of a series called "Mai: A Mother's Rage" (2022), produced by Upendra’s son, where the directors were Atul Mongia and Anshai Lal.

Through "Taj: Divided by Blood" (2023), which was released on the ZEE5 platform, Pallav is introduced to new levels of visibility by appearing as Vivaan.

Pallav's real breakout happened in 2024, playing Shayar Rahim in "Mirzapur" Season 3 on the Amazon Prime Video platform. As a satirical poet, his politically driven writings of verse/culture are always made sharper through the use of satire to create some of the sharpest lines in the entire season. Even though his screen time was limited, he has still been described as the primary highlight of Season 3 and will be remembered for many years to come.

Pallav Singh's Singing Career on Indian Idol :
Pallav's career as an actor was already strong before competing on Indian Idol; however, it is unlikely that Pallav would be where he is today without his time on Indian Idol, as the opportunity allowed him to gain considerable experience and notoriety as a singer.

He made it to the Top 16 and, as well as coming in 14th place, he was eliminated in round 14.

His audition song was "Dil To Bachcha Hai Ji" performed in a cover version of this popular song.
