Rudra Pratap Singh, also known as RP Singh just because that is how he is often called, is a former Indian cricketer who bowled for India as a right-handed fast-medium bowler. Rudra Pratap Singh was born on the 6th of December of the year 1985, in Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh. Applying the age calculation in 2025, Singh is aged 39 years. Singh was India's highest-ranked bowler in the mid-2000s and led India to the victory in the first ICC T20 World Cup in 2007.

Early Life and Domestic Career
RP Singh started his career as a professional cricketer representing Uttar Pradesh, in which he was an outsized player in the domestic competitions. His brilliant performance in the 2004 Under-19 World Cup with eight wickets made him a favorite player. He then became a regular name in the international cricket team by securing 34 wickets in six Ranji Trophy matches for Uttar Pradesh for which he was compensated in the national team.
International Career
Singh represented his One Day International (ODI) vs Zimbabwe on 4th September, 2005, and Test match vs Pakistan in January 2006. Internationally, he played 14 Tests, 58 ODIs, and 10 T20 Internationals. The highlight was that he was the second-highest wicket-taker in the 2007 ICC World T20, and it also made India a championship winner.
Indian Premier League (IPL) Success
RP Singh was the best star cricketer of all time for the Indian Premier League. He won the Purple Cap in 2009 with 23 wickets and led Deccan Chargers to the championship title.
Retirement and Post-Cricket Life
RP Singh retired from the life of a cricketer in September 2018. After retirement, he has remained busy with cricket commentary and analysis and imparting his experience and knowledge to cricket fans and young cricket players.
