Sharly Modak, born on 28th December 1998 in Jalpaiguri, West Bengal, is very much an actress in the forefront today, and also works as a model. She is from a family of Asim Kumar Modak, a government employee, and Purabi Modak, a housewife. Also in the family are two sisters of hers, Labani Biswas and Haimanti Barman. Sharly did her studies in Mass Communication and Journalism at Surendranath Women’s College in Kolkata.

She started in modeling before going into acting. In 2019, she had her acting debut in the Bengali TV series Chirodini Ami Je Tomar, in which she played the lead as Anuradha Sanyal.
In 2020 and 2021, she won great recognition for her performance of Bhagyasree Sarkar in Bhaggolokkhi, a top-rated Bengali series on Star Jalsha. In 2022 also saw her play as Hongshini in Lokkhi Kakima Superstar.
