Sooryagayathri (born 26 January 2006) is a gifted Indian classical vocalist conferred with the fame of stirring the soul through songs of devotion: bhajans and kirtans. Sooryagayathri was very swiftly an ever-loved name in Indian spiritual music, with her recognition coming much earlier in life.

Sooryagayathri, hailing from a quiet village of Purameri in Kozhikode district of Kerala, was born into a musically endowed family. Sooryagayathri's paternal grandfather, Balachandran, was a noted dance guru, while her grandmother Thankamani is an accomplished musician. Her father P.V. Anilkumar, serves as a Mridangam artist with All India Radio, Kozhikode. Her mother, Divya, a literature enthusiast and poet, noticed Soorya’s musical potential when she was just two and a half years old. Her younger brother, Sivasoorya, has also followed in her footsteps, beginning to sing at an early age.

Musical Journey
Sooryagayathri began her musical training under the guidance of her father. She later received formal training in Carnatic music from Nishant Nadapuram (since age five) and currently studies under S. Anandi. She dedicates around three hours daily to practice, with extended sessions ahead of performances.

Her breakthrough came at the age of nine when renowned Carnatic vocalist and composer Kuldeep M Pai discovered her. Impressed by her voice, he featured her in a recording of the Hanuman Chalisa, which she rehearsed for 107 days. The video, uploaded to Pai’s YouTube channel, became a viral hit. Collaborations continued with Soorya performing classics like Ganesha Pancharatnam, Vishnu Sahasranamam, and Vaishnava Jana To, all of which elevated her stature among devotional music lovers.

She now runs her own channel under SG Productions and records with labels like Strumm Spiritual, Ishtar Devotional (Believe Music), and Strings Entertainment. Her repertoire includes compositions such as Aigiri Nandini, Kalabhairavashtakam, Rangapura Vihara, and many more.
