Tanvi Marwaha is an Indian professional settled; she has served as the Deputy General Manager at Reliance JIO. She had an illustrious service in the Indian Air Force as a helicopter pilot and the Squadron Leader. Marwaha came into the limelight owing to her marriage to Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, an IAF pilot known for his valour during the 2019 India-Pakistan standoff.

Abhinandan Varthaman came to be known as a national hero after downing an F-16 of Pakistan in a dogfight across LoC in the year 2019. But his own aircraft-a MiG-21 Bison-too had been hit, and he had to eject out into the Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. He was taken into custody by Pakistani forces and was given a release after 60 hours with the Pakistani forces-an event that hit all the headlines.

Tanvi Marwaha was born to a South Indian family residing in Chennai, Tamil Nadu in 1983. Being a public figure, she has kept many details of her life private; hence, information about her family background is not well known. Marwaha attended Sainik School for early education and moved to the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad where she did the Armed Forces Executive Course. She belongs to the Khatri caste community and represents Indian citizenship.

In the IAF, she was serving as the Squadron Leader with helicopter pilot-a job she did until her retirement. She moved to the corporate sector after serving in the military and is presently working at Reliance JIO.
