Yolanda Harris: A Trusted Voice in Journalism
A respected American journalist, Yolanda Harris is known for her professionalism and great warmth on-screen. She currently acts as an anchor at WBNS Channel 10 News, where she is considered a household name for viewers all across Ohio. This respect and esteem have been earned through impeccable claims for fair and unbiased reporting as well as somehow marrying herself into the community she serves.
Early Life and Education

Born on January 1, 1970, in Central Ohio, Yolanda spent her early years on the east side of the city but moved to Gahanna during her teenage years. After graduation from Gahanna Lincoln High School, she furthered her studies in communications by obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcasting and Journalism from Bowling Green State University.
Though she keeps much of her personal life shrouded in mystery, there is an understanding that she has a twin sister. Her upbringing and early experiences indeed set the tone for her interest in public speaking, which then turned into a full-fledged career in journalism.
A Career Born Out of a Change of Heart
It is interesting to note that journalism was not the first career Yolanda chose. As a child, she wanted to be a flight attendant due to her mother’s profession. Somehow over time as she gained more self-confidence in public speaking, she shifted her focus to broadcasting where this step would change everything for her versus the flight attendant route.
Yolanda began in the media as a reporter/ photographer for the Columbus Call and Post Newspaper, a publication that covers stories in the African-American community. Her account of the days was`: “That was a great formative experience for me in terms of community-oriented journalism.”

Joining WTTE in 1992, she served as a receptionist in the promotions and public service department. The job was an entry point, but she showed promise early on. Upon arriving at WSYX News in 1996, she started covering major events and quickly gained a reputation for being naturally talented and filled with energy.
Yolanda’s meteoric rise in the newsroom was, however, greatly aided by a number of factors, including her professionalism and charisma, landing her an anchor job. She has also been very well liked by both the audience and her coworkers through shows such as Take 1 and Fox28 Kids Club.
Personal Life and Recent Work
Leaving WSYX in 2016, Yolanda took some personal time to herself to relax and recharge her batteries. Coming out, she staged a strong comeback, joining WBNS Channel 10 News alongside anchor Jerry Revish in July 2017.
Yolanda is married to Jonathan Eubanks, with the estimated net worth standing at $1M, as per the latest reports. With decades of experience, Yolanda Harris still stands as a strong voice in Ohio journalism and an exemplary inspiration for budding broadcasters.
