Bollywood Blind Item: Actress Gets Another Actress' Role Chopped In Upcoming Movie
We had recently written about an actress who bagged a unviable project for double her usual fees. As per a source, this actress has used her good offices to get the role of another actress who was working along side her chopped. The two heroine project will now be a single heroine project. The actress in question is close to the movie's new producer. The movie's new producer got the director too thrown out. A regional superstar who does character roles in Bollywood movies & was seen in the first season of a hit reality show, another character actor who made his mark in a woman centric drama too quit the movie due to script changes. While we have heard about A-list celebs being conniving & getting roles of co-stars chopped, turns out even smaller celebs are equally insecure, greedy. The movie was supposed to have a celebrated screenwriter as its producer - it was his debut project as a producer, but the project got stuck. Thats when the new producer came into the picture.
The new producer was one of the top execs at a music label which is also into film production. He quit owing to rumors of discontent brewing between him & the music label head honcho over his daughter signing up with a talent agency. The biggest casualty - the actress who got thrown out of the project, has starred in several regional hits but is yet to make a mark in Bollywood. She has starred in several Bollywood projects, but most of them have flopped. The movie in question has a social message.
