Bollywood Blind Item: Low Advance Figures Shock Industry

This upcoming action movie had two big names as the male leads of the movie. Both were at the top of their game before the pandemic struck but have been finding the going to be tough post the pandemic. Their rivals have surged past them & they are unable to recover. They both were pinning their hopes on this big-budget action movie. But sadly for them, the advance booking has been shockingly low. The father-son producer duo was rumored to have spent a bomb on the salaries of the two stars & especially on the senior one among the two. The producers are having a tough time hiding the low advance booking numbers. The industry feels that the movie is bound to tank at the box office. The senior male lead has been avoiding action movies like the plague & is betting on comedy movies to get him back in the reckoning.

The senior male lead is suffering due to overexposure. He used to work in 5-6 movies in a year. When he was at his peak, almost all of the 5-6 releases of the year turned out to be hits or even superhits. Now the audiences are bored of seeing him. He needs to reinvent himself. As he is on the wrong side of 50 it does seem difficult. But he does have a history of bouncing back when the chips were down.
