Bollywood Blind Item: Producer Wants This Singer-Actor Back

We had earlier written about this producer who was overjoyed over a regional singer-actor facing trouble over casting issues in his latest release. The producer sacked him for his upcoming movie assuming that the regional singer-actor would be sacked by the various film bodies in the country. But the whole issue seems to have fizzled out after the release of the movie. As per a source, the producer has gone back to the singer-actor & wants him onboard the sequel to a blockbuster comedy. But the singer-actor is playing hardball & is demanding double the fees that he had quoted earlier. The producer now has no choice but to toe the singer-actor's line if he wants him in his movie.

While the singer-actor's latest movie wasn't allowed to release in the country, it has turned out to be a huge hit abroad. It has not only recovered its budget, but has even earned the producers a tidy profit making the franchise a hugely successful one. The Indian audience, too, is unlikely to punish him for the casting issues that led to the huge scandal. All the money that he spent on PR seems to have done its job.
