Bollywood Blind Item: Singer Goes On PR Overdrive

We had earlier written about this singer-actor getting dropped from movies because of his recent controversy. As per a source, a superstar - the movie's main lead- has threatened to walk out of their movie if he is not thrown out of the movie. The producers are in a fix as the movie is a patriotic war epic & the singer-actor's recent image is of anything but that of a patriot. 50% of the movie has already been shot & the producers will lose a lot of money if they drop him now. His PR agency has been approaching all major entertainment handles to post in his support. They have been offered lakhs to post & list out how he wasn't aware that the situation with the enemy country would get out of hand. Interestingly, the singer-actor is yet to apologize for his actions & a nationalist party has come out in his support! The movie has been released abroad but is yet to release in India. Another singer took to social media to throw shade at him.

The singer-actor has been claiming that he had no role in the casting process. But the audience is in no mood to listen. There have been many threats to not release the movie in India. This controversy will adversely affect the singer's acting career in regional cinema & Bollywood. Filmmakers are likely to steer away from him till his image undergoes a makeover. But then the public has a short memory & he is a talented artist!
