Mumbai Mirror has published a blind item about theatre owners being unhappy with a superstar & filmmakers for releasing their movie online.

The times are tough for everyone. Our recession proof film industry too is going through a tough patch. These situations are unprecedented. One can’t blame the makers of the movie for cutting their losses & releasing their movies online. The theatre owners are hurt over the loss in revenues due to this move. It is a matter of time before the superstar makes movies which the audiences can’t resist & the theatre owners too will have no other option but to bow down. The superstar is at the top of his game. But calling him a blockbuster actor is sheer exaggeration.

We wonder what the superstar & his vocal missus have to say over a comic wishing that the superstar had died instead of a beloved actor. Ouch! Irrespective of your ideologies, wishing someone’s death only because his/her ideologies don’t match yours is really cheap. But the comic achieved what she wanted – cheap publicity. Sometimes saying shicking & horrible things is all it takes to get noticed.

We wonder whether this superstar is unlucky. Every time he is on the verge of being crowned the box office king, his challenge withers away. The last time around, his movies started flopping suddenly just when he was the biggest challenge to the romantic superstar in the 2000’s. This time the pandemic has played spoil sport. Sources also inform that the current box office king’s upcoming movie, which is a korean remake is shaping up well.

A MEGA film starring a well-known blockbuster actor is said to release only on online platforms, forgoing a traditional cinema release altogether. We hear a whopping amount has been paid to the studio and the producer. Theatre owners are understandably in a quandary with the shifting nature of the business, and now have one major film less to showcase once the lockdown is lifted. We hear the stung lot is collectively planning to ban all forthcoming releases of the actor as well as the studio.
