Guess Who: This Disgraced Director Has Found A Producer

Mumbai Mirror has published a blind item about a disgraced director who has found a producer for his next film.

While the ladies in hollywood feel that justice has been served after several big shots were either jailed or lost out on big projects, were made outcastes after the MeToo movement, women in bollywood have not been as lucky. The whole MeToo movement of bollywood has been turned into a joke. Most of the culprits were not named. Some celebs paid off their victims, while some victims could not muster the courage to come out with their experiences.

The primary reasons for the MeToo movement being a huge success in hollywood is that several A-listers came forward with their horrific experiences. On the other hand bollywood female stars chose to sit quiet & let the suffering continue for many more years to come. While one can understand that the new lot of female stars had their entire careers in front of them, the older lot had no such excuse. The semi-retired female stars are the ones who have borne the brunt of the casting couch & obscene demands. They should have ideally been at the forefront. But they chose to stay quiet. The fate of the younger lot be damned.

This self proclaimed bollywood queen too is a victim. She was on the receiving end of abuse by her producer & her hero. A source claimed that the hero – a married man with kids, made it clear that she has to sleep with him. Our bollywood queen flatly refused. The producer – also an actor with kids, then had to call her up & then ask her to do as the hero told her to! “Bas sona hi to chahta hai” – was the line used by the producer-actor! We wonder why she never had the guts to take on the producer & the hero?

Now the failed MeToo will serve as a deterrent for younger female stars who want to blow the whistle on such instances. Such a wasted opportunity!

Although one has to admit, that there may be cases where the celeb may have been falsely accused. It is well known that many women openly ask these celebs if they would like to sleep with them in exchange for roles or jobs. Assuming every celeb who is accused of such a crime, to be guilty is not the solution either.

A director disgraced during the #MeToo movement has surprisingly found a producer for his next film. The word isn’t out officially but the industry is already under shock at how quickly some people have forgotten about all the ire and rage at the male carnivores. Surprisingly, the producer we’re talking about was a major crusader of female rights back then and is conveniently relying on the “clean chit” given legally to the director. Clearly, there’s nothing known as principle.
