The real test of life is figuring out how to teach those same skills to someone else. In Babar Ali, there is a living example of this. Babar Ali, 24, is the world's youngest headmaster, having opened a school when he was nine years old.

He had no idea where his future actions would lead him. In the countryside, people's perceptions of the value of education have shifted as a result of his unselfish efforts.

Babar Ali was nine years old when he noticed a few children labouring in the fields on his way home from school. He noticed that the youngsters were not in school the next day, but were instead assisting their parents on the farm by doing odd jobs. Babar had no idea that his concern for these youngsters would impact not just his own life, but the lives of hundreds of other children who were unable to attend school. He was fortunate because his father, a jute trader, could afford to send him to school, something that few children his age in his village had. Babar's impromptu classroom began under a guava tree in his backyard, where a few local kids would wait for him to return from school every day. He would come right home from school, like a diligent instructor, and tell about what he had learnt there.

Babar founded his own school at the age of nine, when most students couldn't even do their own homework.

After courses, Babar would bring broken pieces of chalk home and create a chalkboard out of terracotta tiles. To manage his school, he didn't need any sophisticated resources; all he required was his students' desire to learn. When his instructor learned about his homeschooling, she began providing him with a complete box of chalk. Students liked their youthful teacher's classes as well. They used newspapers as reading material because they lacked supplies such as pens, pencils, notebooks, or even a curriculum.

He simply desired to educate others in some way. He didn't care about the syllabus; he merely believed that learning even a single thing would be a success. Those were Babar's ideals, and he was a thinker. Babar's school grew in popularity over time, and more pupils began to join him in his garden. "Sometimes I wouldn't even eat lunch; I'd simply come home from school and start teaching them right away," he adds. He stole a few half-used notebooks from a rag picker for his students as he saw the kids frequently attending his school.

He would gather rice from his relatives and offer it to the parents to persuade their parents to take their children to his school — such was this nine-year-old passion to imparting education! To make school more enjoyable for the pupils, he would organise diverse activities such as athletics, dancing, and music. Babar never skipped attending to his own school because he taught himself all he learnt there. He couldn't afford to skip school because if he didn't learn something there, what would he teach my children? He felt a sense of responsibility for the students he was teaching.

Babar's father, on the other hand, became concerned that his son was ignoring his own academics. But Babar's passion was such that he was able to balance both teaching and learning, and his father eventually had to relent and let him operate his school. It wasn't a simple task. He was especially vulnerable because he was so young. People frequently questioned his motives, claiming that he was attempting to deceive the children. However, he was able to continue my work due of his students' faith in me and his family's support.
