Did Bachchan Pandey Flopped Because The Audience Is Bored Of South Indian Remakes?
Bachchan Pandey, released on 18 March 2022 is a Bollywood action comedy film directed by Farhad Samji, starring Akshay Kumar, Kirti Sanan, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Arshad Warsi.
If we talk about the movie, Bacchan Pandey is a big flop at the box office. released on the very right occasion, on the day of Holi, the festival to enjoy and have fun, the movie didn't do any good. There are many critics going on about the reason behind its flop. Among them, one of them is the craze of the Kashmir files movie that was seen among a lot of people and the Kashmir files movie was earning a lot of money too. In Meantime, Bacchan Pandey couldn’t stand in front of that film at all.
On the first day of release, the movies were observed to fall in reviews gradually. The movie is the remake of Bobbi Simha’s Jigarthanda, a Telugu movie. What I personally observe is that perhaps, the Indian audience is getting bored of South remakes. They feel Bollywood doesn't want to make an effort if they are receiving baked chapatis, why would they make an effort. South producers and copyright holders due to no financial support are all ready to sell their movies.
A few years back, people really appreciated the content and storyline of South Indian remakes Like Ghajini and Singham and gave much love to the movies making them count among some superhits of Bollywood. But as the time is changing so is the interest of the audience.
Many Tollywood remakes of the year like Hungama 2, Laxmi, and Policegiri 13 didn’t do any good at the box office. It might be another reason for its flop that people are more interested in watching an original piece instead of a copy or a remake and so is the Bachchan Pandey.
