Diljit Dosanjh To Play Shaheed Jaswant Singh Khaira In Honey Trehan's Next

DILJIT DOSANJH, in his next film with HONEY TREHAN as a director, is playing the role of SHAHEED JASWANT SINGH KHAIRA, who was an eminent social activist and raised questions against the brutality of PUNJAB POLICE with respect to the custodial killing of Behla, human-shield case concerning the death of seven civilians, unlawful cremation of 25,000 unidentified bodies in Punjab and killing of about 2,000 policemen not collaborating in counter-terror operations post OPERATION BLUESTAR and 1984 ANTI-SIKH RIOTS.
KHAIRA was abducted and murdered in 1995 by Punjab Police Officials. On CBI's recommendation post conducting investigation, out of 9 conspirators being listed, 4 were given Life Imprisonment and 2 were given 7 year sentence while 1 of them was killed and staged as suicide.
The film also co-stars ARJUN RAMPAL as well and is currently being shot in AMRITSAR. Produced by MACGUFFIN PICTURES (Abhishek Chaubey and Honey Trehan) and RSVP MOVIES, the film is likely to release at end of 2022.
