Here's How "RRR" Acquired The Title Of Most Favorite Foreign Film In The US Awards Circuit Today!

With 32 critics' and industry awards already given out and the Oscar nomination voting now less than 10 days away, "RRR" is unquestionably a contender on a list of contenders that also includes Steven Spielberg, whose semi-autobiographical "The Fabelmans," as one of the front-runners, and Cate Blanchett, who is engaged in an exciting nerve-wracking competition with Michelle Yeoh.
The Palm Springs Film Festival begins this coming week, and the Critics' Choice Awards and Golden Globes are on their way to becoming the first televised ceremonies of the season. The awards season is also very much in full swing.

We looked to "Variety," which has been following the progress of the awards, to learn who is standing where. In terms of Best Original Score (by M.M. Keeravani, to Hindi moviegoers), S.S. Rajamouli's "RRR," starring Ram Charan and Jr. NTR, received four nominations, behind the five won by "The Batman" and "Babylon" and the three of "The Great Gatsby." The Korean film "Decision to Leave," which was directed by Park Chan-wook, received seven nominations.
The irony is that, despite the fact that Pan Nalin's Gujarati feature, "Chhello Show" (Last Show), is Pan Nalin's official entry for India, the Tollywood blockbuster's American marketers, Variance Films, have included it in every award category.

In SS Rajamouli's RRR, Jr. NTR and Ram Charan played the main characters alongside supporting roles played by Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt , Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, and Olivia Morris. The movie premiered on March 25, 2022, in Indian theatres.
