How 5 Year Old Jacob Smith - Who Played Raj in Mimi Was Discovered!

The Bollywood movie Mimi has been receiving a lot of love and appreciation from the audience. Be it the sensitive storyline or the talented actors, Mimi is one such movie that you can watch and rewatch several times. Kriti Sanon plays the lead role in the movie, and undoubtedly delivers one of her best performances to the date. Kriti is a talented actor and her potential in the industry can be predicted through her performance in Mimi. While Kriti played her part well, she was not the only actor in the movie that won hearts. One cannot easily forget the little boy who played the role of Raj in the movie and the brilliance that he has shown throughout the film! 

The child actor who plays the role of Raj is Jacob Smith, who is from a Scottish background. Jacob and his family were on a world tour and were enjoying the sights of Goa when the little boy caught the eye of the filmmakers of Mimi. When they approached Jacob's parents and asked them if they would allow their son to be part of their upcoming Bollywood movie, they were naturally hesitant in the beginning. The filmmakers assured them that their little kid would be taken care of really well and they would also help the family relocate to Mumbai for the shooting of the movie.

Jacob was given acting lessons while he was in Mumbai and later he was taken to Rajasthan where Mimi was shot. He did a great job in the entire movie, however, his lines were dubbed by another artist because of his Scottish accent.
