Alia Bhatt will start filming for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s lavish musical Baiju Bawra after returning from her maternity leave. She will first shoot a song for Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani with Ranveer Singh.

After the wildly popular Gangubai Kathiawadi, Alia will be working with Bhansali again, and this time, the actress will need to be more prepared.

Several songs and a lot of music are reportedly included in the project. For Baiju Bawra, Bhansali has already recorded 12 to 15 tracks. The male lead character sings. However, the script also gives Alia’s character a lot of musical opportunities. Before the actual filming starts, she will be getting ready for the role, according to a person involved in the project.

During an interview yesterday, SLB’s longtime partner and director of Heeramandi Mitakshara Kumar divulged information about Baiju Bawra and said, “The next project we’ll work on with Ranveer Singh is Baiju. It will begin following Heeramandi. Alia is also a part of the cast.”
