Netflix Cancels Six Shows - She, Aranyak, Fame Game, Bard Of Blood & More

NETFLIX INDIA has approved the decision to CANCEL the RENEWALS of SIX Series namely - THE FAME GAME, SHE, BARD OF BLOOD, ARANYAK, BOMBAY BEGUMS and CALL MY AGENT - BOLLYWOOD as a part of their restructuring strategy owing to the poor performances of their previous seasons and the treatment submitted for the second and third season (SHE) didn't meet the expectations of creative head to approve the investment as NETFLIX INDIA has suffered a Heavy Drop in their MARKET SHARE in the first half of the year and the streaming platform is now working on content correction by lining up projects that have the potential to exhibit global standard content

However, NETFLIX has greenlighted the renewal of KHAKEE as well as JAMTARA and DELHI CRIME and has also included two new projects - A HEIST COMEDY titled 'CHOONA' by PUSHPENDRA NATH MISHRA (Ghoomketu) and an ACTION ADVENTURE series titled DONALI by E. NIWAS. Other than these, NETFLIX INDIA's 2023 Lineup includes - Raj & DK’s retro crime comedy GUNS & GULAABS starring Dulquer Salmaan, Rajkummar Rao, Adarsh Gourav, and Gulshan Devaiah; Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s big-scale musical drama HEERAMANDI; Suparn Verma’s RANA NAIDU starring Venkatesh and Rana Daggubati; Abhishek Chaubey’s SOUP starring Manoj Bajpayee and Konkona Sen Sharma; and Hansal Mehta’s SCOOP, based on Jigna Vora’s biographical book, Behind the Bars in Byculla.
