Vineet Jindal, a lawyer in Delhi, has filed a complaint against Israeli director Nadav Lapid for calling the film "The Kashmir Files," which is based on the history of the genocide against Hindus in Kashmir, "propaganda" and "vulgar."

On Monday, the International Film Festival of India took place in Panaji, Goa, with Lapid serving as the chairman of the jury for the section devoted to international competition.
"The Kashmir Files, the 15th movie, disturbed and shocked us all. In his closing remarks, Lapid had stated, "That felt to us like a propaganda, vulgar movie, inappropriate for an artistic competitive section of such a prestigious film festival.

Jindal, a practising attorney in India's Supreme Court and a social activist, claimed that Lapid's statement was completely manipulated and intended to harm the Hindu community.

Jindal stated, "He is abusing the sacrifice of Hindus in Kashmir and targeting the Hindu community and inciting hatred in our country by calling a movie based on a true story of Hindu genocide by Islamic terrorists that occurred in Kashmir propaganda and vulgar. The contents of the statement made by Lapid clearly show his intent to incite enmity between groups.

Jindal further stated in his complaint that Lapid had violated Sections 121 (attempting to wage war), 153 (wantonly giving provocation with intent to cause riot), 153 A & B (promote disharmony, enmity, or feelings of hatred between different groups on the basis of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc.), 295 (defiling place of worship with intent to insult the religion of any class), and 298 (intention to wound the These offences are very serious and cognizable.

While Lapid is receiving a lot of criticism, the Israeli ambassador to India, Naor Gilon, also criticised the filmmaker on Twitter. Lapid, according to him, should be ashamed of himself because he "abused" India's invitation, he claimed.

Gilon continued, "The friendship between...India and Israel is very strong and will endure the harm you have caused."
