1. Train to Busan

The 2016 action-thriller Train to Busan, one of the highest-grossing South Korean movies ever, is the tale of train passengers attempting to survive a zombie invasion that is rapidly spreading across the nation. Yeon Sang-ho is the director of the 2020 South Korean action horror heist movie Peninsula. In this stand-alone prequel to the 2016 movie Train to Busan, a former soldier is sent with a team to retrieve a truck full of cash from the wastelands of the Korean peninsula, which are now home to a family, rogue militia, and zombies.

3. Kingdom

Kingdom, the first Korean-made original film on Netflix, received positive reviews upon release. The historical horror drama, written by Kim Eun-hee and based on a webtoon series, centres on Lee Chang (Ju Ji-hoon), the Crown Prince of Joseon, who is looking into a mysterious illness that is ravaging his kingdom. In addition to defending his country from the deadly plague, he is also embroiled in a political power struggle to succeed to the throne.

Happiness sees the return of both of its main actors: Park Hyung-sik after serving his country in the military and Han Hyo-joo to television. Following the release of a misguided treatment drug that instead led to a pandemic known as the Rita Virus or mad person disease, the Korean drama is set in the not-too-distant future. People who have the virus experience symptoms like intense bloodlust before turning into zombies. Civil rights organizations protest against the South Korean military's extensive attempts to stop the virus' spread.

5. Seoul Station

Seoul Station is worth seeing despite being an animated movie. The film, which was written and directed by Yeon Sang-ho, is actually a prequel to the smash hit Train to Busan and depicts how the zombie epidemic first spread through the nation. The story revolves around three characters: Hye-sun, a runaway daughter, her boyfriend Ki-woong, and Suk-gyu, a father searching for his missing daughter. The action takes place around Seoul Station.
