Bollywood’s Bhaijaan, Salman Khan’s marriage has been one of the most frequently asked questions in the Bollywood industry. But a very few of us are aware that Salman was almost married to his ex-lover Sangeeta Bijlani. Salman Khan's private life has been the subject of much sensational discussion since he became a superstar. None of his affairs drew much attention like his love affairs with Sangeeta Bijlani did. The couple not only dating each other for over a decade but were on the verge to get married to each other until Sangeeta caught Salman red-handed with another woman.

 

Salman fell in love with Sangeeta Bijlani, who made her Bollywood debut with Qatil in 1987, alongside Aditya Pancholi.

 

For more than ten years, Sangeeta and Salman held each other tight or supported each other through every up and down. They both even decided to marry.

 

According to reports, Sangeeta and Salman had also set a wedding date of May 27, 1994. In an interview held in 1993, Salman had said that he planned to get married. It was also reported that the wedding invitations were printed.
While the preparation of their wedding were going on, the actress caught Salman red handed with another woman.

 

And the actor even admitted it when he appeared on Koffee with Karan. When Karan asked if the wedding was off as she caught him, the actor tried to avoid answering, "Yeah, kind of." "I get caught I’m stupid," he added.” He then diverted the topic.
According to media reports, the woman Salman cheated on Sangeeta with was none other than Somy Ali.

 

Sangeeta met India's former cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin during an ad shoot shortly after their breakup, and they later met at many filmy parties and events.

 

Azharuddin was married to Naureen at the time, and they had 2 kids, Mohammad and Mohammad Ayazuddin. When things between the cricketer and the actress became serious, Azharuddin broke the news to Naureen, which led to their divorce. It was reported that Naureen and her partner split up after receiving hefty alimony.
