Plot

Vishnu, a choreographer for Jehangir Dance Company (JDC), quits after a disagreement with his friend and manager, Jehangir Khan. He notices the raw talent of several young dancers, despite their lack of discipline, as they perform disastrously at a local event. Inspired, Vishnu decides to form his own dance group, Dhongri Dance Revolution (DDR), with these youngsters to compete in Dance Dil Se. However, internal rivalries between group members D and Rocky cause issues. Initially, only Rocky and his gang attend the free classes, but D and his friends soon join in.

The group expands with new members, including Chandu, a talented but troubled man struggling with drug addiction; Shaina, a bar dancer; and Rhea, a former star dancer from JDC who left after Jehangir sexually assaulted her. Rhea quickly becomes the star of DDR, despite initial skepticism from the other students about Shaina due to her profession. Chandu defends Shaina, and they develop a romantic relationship.

The rivalry between the two factions continues, pushing Vishnu to his limits. However, the students show improvement and are rewarded with money to buy new speakers. They nearly lose the money at a dance club, but Vishnu arrives in time to win it back. Though furious, he forgives them, and they return to class with renewed discipline. The group faces eviction when D's father calls the cops, but they convince their families of their talent with an impromptu dance. However, D's conservative father remains opposed to his son's passion for dance.

DDR auditions for Dance Dil Se, where Jehangir humiliates Vishnu by convincing the judges to accept DDR as "jokers." Vishnu challenges Rocky and D to perform a move requiring mutual trust, which they eventually accomplish, uniting the group.

Tragedy strikes before the semi-finals when Chandu is killed in an accident. Shaina becomes the centerpiece of their semi-final performance. Despite a betrayal from Mayur, who feeds information to JDC, DDR crafts a new routine on the spot, inspired by Lord Ganesha. Their heartfelt performance moves Jehangir, reminding him of his old friendship with Vishnu. DDR wins the competition, earning thunderous applause.
