Anushka Sharma Opts Out Of Jhulan Goswami Biopic

ANUSHKA SHARMA has opted OUT of JHULAN GOSWAMI's biopic and will now only produce it with SONY PICTURES as a NETFLIX Original.
TRIPTII DIMRI will now play JHULAN instead of ANUSHKA in this biopic titled CHAKDAH EXPRESS and PROSIT ROY (Pari, Paatal Lok) will helm this film which will go on floors in First Quarter of 2022.
CHAKDAH EXPRESS is is a heart-warming yet fascinating, inspiring, and thrilling tale of chasing your dream. It explores the inner and outer world of Goswami — the story of a little girl from Nadia district in West Bengal who went on to become the highest wicket-taker in Women's One Day International Cricket. This film will highlight various spheres of her life — riddled with extreme hardships and massive achievements and is scheduled for end of 2022 release.
TRIPTII is currently wrapping up another NETFLIX film, 'QALA' which is also produced by ANUSHKA and KARNESH SHARMA under their banner 'CLEAN SLATE FILMS'. Other than this, she is also slated to play RANBIR KAPOOR's SECRETARY in ANIMAL and in talks to star in a DHARMA backed psychological thriller.
