Bambai Meri Jaan
In the series Bambai Meri Jaan, Kay Kay Menon and Avinash Tiwary portray an upright police officer and his ambitious son Dara. Kritika Kamra plays Dara's sister Habiba in the programme.

Bambai Meri Jaan, a riveting period play by Shujaat Saudagar, follows the ascent and "rise" of infamous mobster Dara Kadri. He has three siblings: Saadiq, Ajju, and Habiba. He is the son of policeman Ismail Kadri and housewife Sakina. Ismail loses his job and is compelled to work for Haji in order to put food on the table and survive as he pursues Haji, Pathan, Bilawal, and Anna's operations. Dara aspires to overthrow Haji and his friends when he is an adult, rule over Mumbai, and then join Haji's company. Additionally, despite having a calmer disposition than the others, Haji is continuously attacked by them, resulting in casualties on both sides. Ismail tries to persuade Dara to change course since he believes that the cycle of retribution has no end, but once Saadiq is killed, Dara starts a slaughter that paralyses the title city.

The story moves to Gujarat towards the conclusion of Bambai Meri Jaan, when Haroon can be seen getting tea and starting his daily routine. The story of Dara and the Kadris' revenge comes to an end when the young employee of the tea store sneaks up on Haroon and shoots him dead. As she sternly asserts that only God is capable of forgiving, the narrator's voice switches from that of Ismail to that of Habiba. Humans, however, are unable to forgive since they are not gods. And that only serves to highlight how simple it is to seek forgiveness from others when you aren't the one doing the forgiving. It's simple to see a world without consequences or to confront something wholly awful that wants to turn the entire planet into a living nightmare. It's difficult to deal with potentially fatal situations and let the offender get away with it

It is true that we should have faith in the legal system and the police, and we should wish for governments to support systemic equality. Dara, though, says that if they are for sale to the highest bidder, you ought to raise your offer. Dara is a villain who believes he is the protagonist of his own story, therefore it stands to reason that his viewpoint is incorrect. However, given how you witness that argument developing over the course of his life, it becomes difficult to refute it, and that is the mark of a good gangster story.

The new web series Bambai Meri Jaan, created by Farhan Akhtar and Rensil D'silva, claims not to be about notorious gangsters Dawood Ibrahim or Haji Mastan. The filmmakers claimed that it is a brand-new, fictional story based in the well-known Mumbai underworld in an exclusive interview with Hindustan Times. The show is being produced by Farhan under his Excel Entertainment label, and it was created by Rensil and director Shujaat Saudagar.
