Jawan director Atlee grabbed Shah Rukh Khan's feet as a sign of respect and was given a heartfelt hug by the actor at the just finished Zed Cine Awards 2024.
If there's one thing we know about the relationship between Jawan director Atlee and Shah Rukh Khan, it's that they adore and respect each other tremendously. The actor could not stop raving about Atlee during his acceptance speech at the most recent Zed Cine Awards 2024, where SRK won the Best Actor prize for his work in Jawan and Pathaan. Recently, in a video that a paparazzo posted, Shah Rukh's feet are touched by the director of Bigil in a touching gesture. Atlee received recognition as the Best Director at the Mumbai ceremony last night.
The moment Atlee's name was declared the winner was captured on camera. He got up to applaud from the crowd, folded his hands, and touched SRK's foot, who was sitting next to him. Atlee persisted despite the Pathaan actor's attempts to stop him. After that, Shah Rukh gave Atlee a hug and a kiss and wished him luck in winning. The cute moment between SRK and Atlee during the award ceremony demonstrates that their relationship is more than simply a business one.
Jawan was Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee's first joint venture. The movie was the director's first Bollywood film and included a star-studded ensemble that included Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Ridhi Dogra, Lehar Khan, Girija Oak, and Sanjeeta Bhattacharya.
Because of Jawan's popularity, the filmmaker is considering doing another movie with the megastar. During the ABP Conclave, Atlee conveyed his respect for the 58-year-old actor and his wish to collaborate with him once more. "I like every movie he's ever made, including DDLJ, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express, and so many more... He is, in my opinion, the public face of Indian cinema.
Thus, working with Mr. Shah Rukh sir is a dream come true," he remarked. Atlee continued, calling Shah Rukh the "best man" he had ever met and saying he hoped to work with him once more on a project that would surpass Jawan's. "Undoubtedly, I will excel in a subject more than Jawan, and I will undoubtedly approach him." I'll tell the story and I'll definitely go see him. I'll tell him the story, and if he wants it, it will happen. He is different, even though I know he loves me very much.
Jawan, which debuted last year, was a box office hit, earning an incredible Rs 1160 crore worldwide.
